Because of this, it is possible to quickly develop new services. As we approach a new phase in our global expansion, the role that programming plays will become increasingly more important.
With this establishment, our programming research has entered a new phase, enabling us to provide an environment where we develop everything from new technologies to new service models.
Global Expansion
As Rakuten Group expands abroad, Rakuten's has established development locations in Japan and abroad. Rakuten Institute of Technology is located in New York and there is an additional location in Boston. For our next step, we will establish additional programming centers in San Francisco, India, and China. In order to develop synergy in a globalizing Rakuten Group, foreign technology teams, team building, and the sharing of information is essential.
